Amy Lynn Kennah-Ricketts
After an almost five-year battle with ovarian cancer, Amy Lynn Kennah-Ricketts (nee Blemker), 52, of Pearland TX, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 11th, 2025. She was born on April 27th, 1973 in East Chicago, Indiana.
Amy spent her early years in Highland, Indiana before relocating with her family for her formative years in Casper, Wyoming. After studying at Casper College in Wyoming, Amy graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in Communication and a Minor in Theater.

Dear Sean, extremely sorry to hear of the sad news of Amy’s passing away. My heartfelt condolences to you and rest of your family. Pray that the Almighty give you all the courage to face this unsurmountable loss. May the departed Soul rest in eternal peace. My thoughts and prayers have always been with you and will continue to do so. Deepest sympathies my dear friend, praying for your family.
Sorry that I am unable to attend the visitation nor the funeral service, since I will be out of town until Monday.
With deepest sympathies.
Sean,
I was deeply saddened to hear about your wife’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I know there are no words that can truly ease the pain of such a loss, but I want you to know that you are not alone.
In times like these, I find comfort in the promises of God. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” I pray that you feel His presence surrounding you with peace and strength in the days ahead.
Amy was a beautiful soul, and her faith and kindness has touched so many lives. I believe she is now in the presence of our Savior, where there is no more pain, only joy and eternal peace.
Please know that I am praying for you and your family.
With love and in Christ,
Danny Ayala

Dear Sean and Emmerie,
Just wanted to let you know that your theater family is here for you both. I would consider it an honor to help with anything from mundane to monumental through this significant time of change.
Sincerely,
Lisa Maxwell
Emmerie,
I can’t imagine the depth of grief you and your family are enduring right now. Your mother was one of the kindest people I have met and I can say with confidence- you take after her in that regard. I’m sorry you have to be so strong right now. I’m sorry you have to carry this weight of loss while being so young. I know how independent you are, but please don’t try to weather this in your heart alone. People are here for you to lean on. I’m here if you need me.
All my love,
Jill

Amy was always such a sweet, but wise woman. She did not always say a lot, but what she said was always insightful. Most of all, she modeled everything a Proverbs 31 woman should be. I am sad that I haven’t had a chance to see her in recent years, but I know she’s waiting for us in our real home. We will see you soon Amy.
Dear Sean,
I too am deeply saddened for you, your family, in-laws, and friends over this great loss for you and your family. Amy sounds like a wonderful woman who is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am reminded of what John the Baptist’s disciples did after John was killed. They went and told Jesus. May you and your family pour out your sorrow on Jesus, who will bring you comfort and rest. May you take comfort in knowing that through Amy’s trust in Jesus that she will rise again with a new body and dwell forever with her Savior.
With Heartfelt Sympathy and Prayers for you and Amy’s loved ones,
Howard Kelly

Dear Family…
I knew your mom from AIG in Houston, first meeting her in 2012 when I moved down from NY. She was incredible. I worked right alongside with her for the rest of her time there. Her smile, jokes, and math skills were all amazing. But her love for all of you was outstanding! The light that got her through all of these days and year-ends and any rough day. It was always you guys! Your mom.. your wife.. your daughter.. impacted so many! Thank you for sharing her with us.
AKR – we will see you again on the other side of those gates and we wont be Mathing at all!

If there’s anything at all that you need-whether it’s someone to talk to or just a quiet presence-please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us. Emma and Amadea will be there for you, anytime.

I’m so sorry to hear about Amy’s passing. I went to Shadycrest Baptist Church with her and family. Her daughter Emerrie and my daughter Madison went to church with each other and they did theater together. Amy treated Madison just like she was her own daughter. You will be greatly missed.
