Helga Kaethe Carter born on July 1, 1939 went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2021 at the age of 82.

Helga was preceded in death by her husband, Rhoy D. Carter in 2012.  She is survived by her oldest daughter, Peggy, son in law, Andy, and youngest daughter, Floy. She is also survived by four grandchildren – Andrew Jr and his wife Heather, Daniel, Chloe, and Eden. In addition, Helga had four great grandchildren – Paige, Ava, Addison, and Rose, and several nieces and nephews.

                The Legacy

Of all the mothers in the world,
God chose you for me.
He knew that you’d always be there
And love me unconditionally.

He knew that to love you, one must know you
And see your beauty from within.
He gave you a kind and caring soul
And showed me the woman you’ve always been.

He knew you’d have compassion
When I was hurting or I was ill.
He taught me through your examples
To have a strong character and will.

He knew there’d be times of sadness
And hardships to endure;
But, through your acts of forgiveness
I saw a heart in you that’s pure.

He instilled appreciation
For beauty in the simplest things,
and taught you to encourage me
To go out and spread my wings.

He gave you the capacity
To express your love for me,
and I learned true intimacy is really found
When into me you see.

So thank you for the legacy
That you’ve passed down through the years,
Of your warmth, love, and tenderness
Through all the laughter and the tears!
