JoAnn Clark, a resident of Houston, TX went home to be with
Lord on June 24, 2021. She was born on October 29, 1948 in
Corpus Christi, TX to parents Clarence “C.K.” and Emma
Fleming. After graduating from Pasadena High School in 1966,
JoAnn began a long and rewarding career with State Farm
Insurance for the next 48 years where she met numerous lifelong
and best friends. She loved her job and her co-workers as they
were like a second family to her.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her father, Clarence “C.K.”
Fleming; mother, Emma Fleming; brother, Warren Bruce Fleming
and brother-in-law Malcolm Edwards Clark.

JoAnn leaves behind to cherish her memories, her soulmate and
best friend Leonard Clark, affectionally known by JoAnn as Dad;
daughter Stacie Clark, son-in-law Jon Parker; daughter Ashley
Clark, son-in-law Jordan Moss; granddaughters; Logan Parker
and Sadie Moss; brother-in-law James Clark; nieces Michele
Reyna and Abbey Clark; nephew Adam Clark. She also leaves
behind multiple relatives from the Fleming, Clark, Reyna, Land
and Langner families and numerous beloved neighbors, long-time
coworkers and lifelong friends.

JoAnn was an avid Houston Texans fan and was known for her
love of fishing, Canton shopping trips with her daughters, Black
Friday shopping, crawfish, anything and everything Christmas,
growing her pepper plants, reading and attending all of her
daughter’s and granddaughter’s extracurricular activities.

JoAnn was a fiercely dedicated mom to her daughters, Stacie and
Ashley, grandma to her granddaughters, Logan and Sadie and
soulmate to her best friend, Leonard. She devoted all of her time
to her children and grandchildren as they were the light of her life,
never missing a school function, softball game or dance recital.
Family came first and was above all else to JoAnn, a value she

instilled in all those around her. Her smile was contagious and her
laughter was heartwarming, she was always the brightest smile in
the room. JoAnn’s kindness and love will always remain in the
hearts of all that knew her. Her unselfishness, nurturing, kind and
fun-loving demeanor will be missed immensely. Heaven has
gained the most beautiful angel, the hole left by her absence will
forever be impossible to fill.
