Les Brandt Hansen

Les Brandt Hansen, 77, of Friendswood, TX, previously of Pearland, TX, passed away on November 14th, 2025. He was born on March 8th, 1948, to Nora Foth and Vernon Brandt Hansen in Geneva, IL. Les served his country in the Army during Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. He also attended First Baptist Church Friendswood.

Les is preceded in death by his parents, mother Nora Foth and husband Richard, and father Vernon Hansen and wife Cleda.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cathy Hansen; daughter Amanda Dyane Toole and husband Willie; son Jonathan Brandt Hansen and wife Julie; sister Janet Silvernail; brother Robert Hansen and wife Sandy; and his four grandchildren, Jeremiah Toole, Jayden Stubblefield, Joshua Toole, and Rebecca Hansen.

Les played basketball at Yorkville High School in Yorkville, Illinois and was a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Education. He served 2 years in Vietnam and exited service as Sargeant E5, wounded and decorated including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He loved classic cars, owned several over time, enjoyed bowling and bowled semi-pro in his 30’s. He enjoyed sports, basketball in particular, and could fix anything, including companies. Les spent his career in corporate reorganization. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St, Pearland, Texas 77581, with a memorial service at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Bill Cole to officiate
In honor of Les’s memory, memorials can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
