Florencio G. Barrera, 77, resident of Dickinson, Texas passed from this life onto eternal peace. July 31, 2026 in Webster, Texas. He was born October 16, 1948 to parents Joaquin Barrera and Regina Gonzalez Barrera in Pharr, Texas. He was one of six siblings, always busy and ready for an adventure.

Florencio was a caring son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He worked in the petro chemical industry as an operator until retirement. Family and friends were plentiful and always enjoyed his company.

Florencio was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Joe and Jaime, sisters Minerva Gonzalez and Rachel Salinas and loving wife Elena Barerra.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Michelle McVean and husband Jay; Son, Daniel Barrera and wife Cindy; brother in laws Manuel Salinas and Oscar Gonzalez, and sister, Linda Martinez and husband Pete; grandchildren, Ashlynn Barrera, Korbin McVean, Christopher Barrera, and Kolten McVean; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

In his honor a visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2026 from 9:00-10:00am with a memorial service at 10:00am in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Inurnment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, Dickinson, Texas.
