Demetrios Tsakalakis

Demetrios Tsakalakis,78, Houston, TX passed away on June 4th, 2026 surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with Parkinsons. Demetrios was born on November 24th, 1947 to Kyriaki Kafa and Theodore Tsakalakis of Kavala, Greece.

He worked in the bar industry for over 50 years. He was passionate about his work and loved what he did for a living. In 1986, Demetrios met Eugenia at Thessaloniki. They went on to have two children Kiriaki and Theodora. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood-working and technology.

Demetrios was predeceased by father, Theodore Tsakalakis; mother, Kyriaki Kafa; brother, Panagiotis Tsakalakis. He is survived by his wife; Eugenia Tsakalakis; daughters Kiriaki Rodriguez (Adrian) and Theodora Tsakalakis; and grandchildren Demetra and Anthony Rodriguez.

A Trisagion service will be held Monday, June 8th 2026, at 6:00 Pm, at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX 77598. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00am on June 9th, 2026 at St John’s the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church, 202 N Walnut St, Webster, TX 77598. A graveside service will follow at 11:45am at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 7801 Gulf Fwy, Dickinson, TX 77539

  3. My Dear Eugenia, Kiki and Theodora,
    We are heartbroken for the loss of of a treasured friend. We remember our fun times with the family at Easter and Christmas as some of our best! Now, our hearts are heavy for the grief you endure during this time. Demetrios has always been a leader and now we feel that he goes to prepare a place for us as he lives his eternal life. We love you and will see you then Demetrios.

    My deepest condolences to you and your family for your loss. My heart goes out to you for the loss of your husband/ father. I know how much he meant to you all. The few times I had interacted with him, I found him to be a very caring and compassionate person.I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers so you all find solace and strength to overcome the grief.
