Margaret Elaine White

Margaret Elaine White, 65, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on May 18, 2026, surrounded by her entire family. She was born on August 19, 1960, in Dickinson, Texas, to her parents, Bertram Clarence Schroeder and Mina Faye White.

Margaret, lovingly known to everyone as “Elaine,” carried a presence that could never be described as ordinary. She was the kind of person who made everyone, that crossed her path, feel safe just by being near her. Her warmth filled every room long before words ever could, and her love revealed itself in the quiet, meaningful moments of everyday life — through open doors, long conversations, shared meals, gentle compassion, and the effortless way she cared for those around her.

Before graduating from the University of Houston with a degree in Child Psychology, Elaine worked in the family business. After a short time teaching, she devoted herself fully to building a loving home for a family of her own. Later in life, she became a licensed massage therapist while continuing to care for the people she loved most. No matter where life led her professionally, her greatest purpose as a homemaker was always her family. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unconditional, endless, and deeply felt by all who knew her.

As a wife, Elaine was a devoted partner who built a life filled with love, loyalty, traditions, and memories alongside her husband, Michael. Through every season of life, her family remained her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael Edward White; her sons, Brian M. E. White and his wife Nicole, Walker A. Manning and his wife Laura, Joshua B. Manning and his wife Jenni, and George H. Manning and his wife Rachel, her brother, Bertram C. Schroeder II and his wife Jeanni Cruse, her sister, Trudy and her husband David, her best friend in life, Andrea “Ande” Ortego; and her nine beloved grandchildren.

Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in having known and loved her. Her legacy lives on in the values she passed down, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always carried in our hearts.

A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held on June 7, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM. Services will take place at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas, followed by a memorial gathering at Elaine’s home at 311 Colony Creek Drive in Dickinson.
