Elida was born and raised in Galveston, where she attended Ursuline Academy. After graduation, she worked in the county clerk’s office until she met Tommy. They married and moved to Houston, where they raised their family.
Elida and Tommy spent many joyful years camping, creating lifelong friendships and treasured memories along the way. They were truly the “hostess with the mostest,” known for their amazing parties and for never letting anyone leave hungry. Elida especially loved to cook and bake for family and friends, always making sure everyone felt welcomed and cared for.
She had a deep love for singing and dancing, especially to country and worship music. Her joy for life and her faith were evident to all who knew her.
While we will miss her dearly, we rejoice in knowing she is in Heaven, singing and dancing with Jesus.
There will be a celebration of life, 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E Broadway St. Pearland, TX 77581.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
