George David Abraham, Jr.
George David Abraham, Jr., passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on March 9, 1948, at St. Mary’s in Galveston, Texas, to George David Abraham Sr. and Lena Marie (Emmite) Abraham.
He was a devoted husband to Judy, his loving wife of 56 years, and a proud father to his two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Jones and Kristen Gayle Fields. He was a beloved grandfather to his three grandchildren, Avery Zane Jones, Kyle Allen Fields and Carter Emmite Fields. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Carolyn Ann Baker.
George graduated from Dickinson High School in 1966 and went to college at Lamar Tech University and University of Houston where he majored in Economics. He went on to start his own company, Business Evaluation Systems, valuing businesses and large machinery and equipment which he continued to operate until the week before his death. He created the first business evaluation software program in the industry. In September of 2007, he was awarded the Master Certified Business Counselor designation by the Institute of Certified Business Counselors. Also in October 2007 he was presented with the Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in Business Appraisal by the Society of Business Analysts and the NEBB Institute.
He loved hunting, fishing and the mountains of Colorado.
A memorial service celebrating George’s life will be held at Crowder Funeral Home at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
