Richard Thomas Garcia
Richard Thomas Garcia, 51, of La Marque, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Richard was born on October 4, 1974, in Texas City, Texas, to Laura and Richard J. Garcia. He was a lifetime resident of La Marque and a graduate of La Marque High School, class of 1994 and of Alvin Community College. A dedicated member of the La Marque Police Department for 21 years, Richard held the title of Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by his wife, Amanda Garcia; four sons: Jose David Godinez, Kaleb James Mora, Jaice Alexander Garcia, and Richard Thomas “Tommy” Garcia, Jr; his sister: Brittany O’Connor (Jesse), and his aunt Mary Ann Rodriquez.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Abundant Live Christian Center (601 Delany Road, La Marque, Texas), with Pastor Walter Hallam and Pastor Bruce Frazier
Honorary Pallbearers are David Godinez, Kaleb Mora, Jaice Garcia, Mychal O’Connor, Forrest Gandy, Justin Waggoner, Brian Ray and Gregory Drilling.
Services are under the direction of James Crowder Funeral Home – La Marque.
My heart hurts so bad for you and your family. Aunt Jane and Ashlee you both are in my prayers. I know how close you three were.
