Johnnie “John” Flisowski

Johnnie “John” Flisowski, Sr., 87, of Texas City, passed away on September 3, 2025 in the comfort of his home.  John was born February 8, 1938 in Chappell Hill to Tony Lee Flisowski, Sr. and Albina (Mazyn) Flisowski.  He was baptized and confirmed in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. He attended Chappell Hill schools. On September 25, 1965, he married Gladys Marie Donihoo in Galveston. John was a Longshoreman with ILA #20 in Galveston for over 33years.  He enjoyed watching the Houston Astros, working any suduko puzzle, playing 42 and being with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: parents, wife, two sisters and three brothers.  Surviving loving family includes: children and their spouses, Johnnie V. Flisowski, Jr. and Jennifer Trotter, Carla Davis and David E. Davis, Jr.; grandchildren: Jeremy (Lindsay) Davis, Cody Davis, Hayden Davis, Kaley (Evan) Reagan, Jeffrie (Sterling) Flisowski and Sydney Flisowski; great-grandchildren: John and Avery Reagan and Vivienne Davis; sisters: Florence Flisowski, Cecilia Schroeder, JoAnn Killian and Pauline Killian; brother: Vincent Flisowski, along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Davis, Cody Davis, Hayden Davis, Jeffrie Flisowski, Hunter Krolczyk and Bobby Krolczyk.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and funeral services for John will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10:00am at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with interment to follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, TX.  Officiating the services will be Pastor Wes Owens.
