Shankerlal Jamnadas Kapadia, 79, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 3, 1946, in Valsad, Gujarat, India, to Jamnadas and Narmadaben Kapadia. Shankerlal grew up with his brother, Mohan Kapadia, and two beloved sisters, Taramati Khatri and Lilavati Marwadi.
From a young age, Shankerlal showed a strong interest in his studies. He pursued his passion for learning, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Gujarat, where he was recognized as first in his class. He applied his expertise in the field, securing a position at Sibatul, an epoxy chemical plant in India.
In May 1972, Shankerlal married his loving wife, Vanitaben, in Valsad, Gujarat. Together, they shared 53 beautiful years of marriage.
He was a longtime resident of Valsad, Gujarat, India, for 50 years before moving to the United States in 1996. Shankerlal spent his final years in Friendswood, Texas.
He was surrounded by his devoted wife, Vanitaben Shankerlal Kapadia; his son and daughter-in-law, Yatin Shankerlal Kapadia and Aarti Yatin Kapadia; and his daughter and son-in-law, Amishaben Ashok Navsariwala and Ashok Vanilal Navsariwala. Shankerlal was a cherished grandfather to Akash Ashok Navsariwala and his wife Riya, along with Krish Yatin Kapadia and Riya Yatin Kapadia.
