Donald Louis Trahan, Sr.
It is with great sorrow that the Trahan Family must announce the death of Donald Louis Trahan, Sr., 68, a resident of Danbury, Texas, who passed away on June 5, 2025. He was born in Pasadena, Texas, on November 20, 1956, to parents Claude Richard Trahan and Emma Jean (Wells) Trahan.
Don was a retired police officer who worked in law enforcement for 28 years. He served as an officer for the Kemah Police Department, the Texas City Police Department, and the Santa Fe ISD Police Department. During his tenure, Don achieved his Master Peace Officer certification, Firearms Instructor certification, Peace Officer Instructor certification, and Mounted Patrol Certification. Don worked as a patrol officer, a mounted patrol officer, a master accident investigator, a homicide investigator, a field training officer, and a shift Corporal. He also instructed courses for the police academy at the College of the Mainland.
Don is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Dale (Watkins) Trahan; son, Donald Louis Trahan, Jr.; mother, Jean Provine; father, Claude Trahan; stepfather, Kenneth Provine; and sister, Donna Peake.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory, daughters, Elizabeth Trahan Quinn and husband, Andrew and Christina Lynn Tyler and husband, Joe; brother, Butch Trahan and wife, Geraldine; nieces Kim Trahan, Tracy Trahan and Martha Peake, nephew Richard Trahan, and grandson, Jacob Aaron Tyler.
In his honor, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.
