Myron Ira Kuhlman
Myron Ira Kuhlman, 79, formerly of Houston, passed from this life, May 14, 2025. He was born July 25, 1945 to proud parents, Armine Reinhart Kuhlman and Ivy Aileen Craft Kuhlman in Superior, Nebraska.
Myron was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He was blessed to have met and married the love of his life, Joyce Hansen and from that union was privileged to become a father.
Myron had a keen scientific and mathematical intellect and drive. He received a Ph.D and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue. With over forty years of industrial experience, and over thirty years of enhanced oil recovery experience, he became the President of MK Tech Solutions, Inc., a company that provided technical services to the environmental and petroleum industries and conducted or supervised over 80 EOR projects and 20 environmental projects.
Myron also contributed to scientific discovery, including authorship credit for approximately 30 papers on enhanced oil recovery and environmental remediation, multiple U.S. Patents and was a frequent guest speaker about his enhanced recovery studies in both North and South America. He was named the 2011-2012 Society for Petroleum Engineers Distinguished Lecturer. He spoke globally on applying HPAI techniques to recover deep, heavy oil with in-situ combustion.
Myron passed on his love of learning and discovery to his children, who all went on to achieve advanced degrees in their fields, a constant point of pride for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and loving wife, Joyce Marie Kuhlman.
Myron leaves behind to cherish his vast accomplishments and memories, children Kristin Atchison and husband Bradley, Stefan Kuhlman and wife Jessica; and Tonia Hastings and husband Chris; brother, Armin Kuhlman and wife Rhea; grandchildren, Brynn Ivy Atchison, Wren Turner Kuhlman, Koda Rein Kuhlman, Tyler Hastings, and Tatum Hastings; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and members of his family-in-love, and colleagues.
In his honor, a celebration of life will be held, 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 2098 W. Main, League City, TX 77573.

It was an honor to care for him! He made an impact on the Delany crew as a whole. Remember this is not goodbye, just see you later! Sending prayers and condolences to his family friends.
