Melvin Don Weiser


Melvin Don Weiser, 84, resident of Houston, Texas passed away April 6, 2017. He was born February 17, 1933, in Houston to parents Aaron Harry Weiser and Goldie Bronstein Weiser. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a general manager in the dry-cleaning industry, and he enjoyed working and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Denise Monceaux.

He is survived by his loving wife, Thiry S. Weiser; daughter, Tammy Sue Kubicek and husband John, son, Melvin “Don” Weiser Jr. and wife Karen, foster daughter, Chelon Tanya Payne; sisters, Sophie Smith and Joyce Hill; brothers, Aaron Harry Weiser, and Lawrence Lee Weiser; and grandchildren, Richard Kubicek, Brian Monceaux, Leslie Jones-Lites, Justin Jones, and John Brady Kubicek; and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
