Winnie “Judy” Hoff

Judy Hoff pic 2Winnie “Judy” Hoff or as everyone knew her Nannie Hoff, 90, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at her home in Texas City. She was born October 19, 1924 in Silsbee, Texas to Samuel and Ethel Powell.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years Charles “Popsie” Hoff, son Marvin Wayne Hoff, Sr. and all her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her two daughters: Joan Long and Pete Forasiepi III, and Marian Fernandez and Don Boothe; one daughter-in-law, Carla Hoff; five grandchildren: Melissa Michalak and Greg, Michelle Digby and Ron, Richard “Bubba” Long, Jr. and Amy, Marvin Hoff, Jr., and Chase Campbell; five great grandchildren Hunter Long, Caden Digby, Cooper Michalak, Chase Briggs and Tandy Plant; two great-great grandchildren Noah Briggs and Trinity Plant and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nannie loved playing the Domino 42 game, cards Uno, Skipo and Spades, smoking her Pall Mall’s, drinking coffee and most of all being a Nannie to all.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the James Crowder Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Texas.

Pallbearers will include Richard “Bubba” Long, Jr., Marvin Hoff, Jr., Ron Digby, Don Boothe, Chase Campbell and Gary Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers will include Pete Forasiepi, Gene Powell, Ricky Kelley, Greg Michalak, Ronnie Pinolla, Hunter Long, Caden Digby, Cooper Michalak, Chase Briggs and Noah Briggs.

  2. “It is with such sadness that I write this message, for even though I know Sissie is in a better place, it feels as though there is an empty spot in my heart. I can only imagine what you are going through. May we all find comfort in knowing that the day will come when we will all be together for eternity, and in imagining the joy she and all of her loved ones, who have gone before, are experiencing at being together again.
