William Summa

William R. Summa, 51 of Houston, TX died on the evening of December 7, 2019. He was predeceased by his father, William J. Summa and his daughter, Victoria Summa. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Aurora (Saenz) Summa; stepson, Aaron Saenz of Marysville, CA; three children Nicholas, Mercedes, and Elena Summa; mother, Mary Ann (Caucci) Summa; brother, Joseph (Anna) Summa of Hilton, NY; three sisters, Marian (Daniel Dowd) Summa of Buffalo, NY, Sally Summa of Buffalo, NY, Theresa Tassone of Binghamton, NY; also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was raised in Endwell, NY where he attended Seton Catholic Central High School. He graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University. He had 20 years of service for United Space Alliance, Houston, and was a stay-at-home dad for a little over 7 years. He was an active member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Houston and volunteered in various ministries including Faith Formation (from Pre-K to Adult), Vocations Committee, Gabriel Project, Pro-Life Committee, Pastoral Council, and Men’s Bible Study. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as Eucharistic Minister and attended Adoration vigil each First Friday. He enjoyed aerospace, Chick-fil-a, his family, couponing, and his faith. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and leaves behind cherished memories of Bay Area Young Adults, Girl Scout and Boy Scout events, family vacations, camping excursions, and laughter. Visitation will be at Crowder Funeral Home located at 111 E. Medical Ctr. Blvd, Webster on Thursday, December 12th from 5-8 pm, with a rosary at 7 pm. A funeral Mass will be on Friday, December 13th, at 10:30 am at St. Bernadette Church located at 15500 El Camino Real, Houston. Internment will follow at Mt. Olivet located at 7801 Gulf Fwy, Dickinson. A celebration of life reception will follow at St. Bernadette Church in the Parish Life Center.
