William (Bill) Owens

William (Bill) Owens, 86, passed away on March 16, 2024 in Webster, Texas with family by his side. He was born May 20, 1937 in Springville, Alabama to William Oda Owens and Lillie Victoria Bearden. Bill is survived by his daughter, April Nompleggi (Robert); sons, Kerry Owens (Tonya), Kris Owens and Kurt Owens; sister Frances Little; grandchildren, Reilly, Caitlin, Valerie, Erin, Sarah, Kylie and Nicholas; 6 great grandchildren and numerous family members and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his daughter Billie Jo Owens, granddaughter Katrina Owens and sister Rovene Schafer.

When his nation called, he answered by joining the Air Force in 1955. In 2000, he retired as a truck driver with Sullivan Paper Company/Teamsters Local 404. He had a passion for his country and Donald Trump. He was a proud papa and enjoyed gardening, driving around in his jeep and sitting by the water watching the sailboats.

A Funeral Service will be held at a later date at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas.

He touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers or donations, please consider making America great again.

  1. We may not have always gotten along or had the best relationship when I was a kid but I had been thinking of you alot lately and had been trying to reach out so this definitely hurts. You were all I really had for family. I love you forever Papa, R.I.P.
