William “Bill” Gean Ford

04071500William “Bill” Gean Ford, of League City, went to be with the Lord on April 3 on Good Friday, in Webster, Texas at the age of 82. He was born on June 5, 1932 in Logansport, Indiana to Frederick and Hermieona Ford. Bill proudly served in the United States Army and was a advanced Army Leadership Honor Graduate, Airborne Paratrooper and a Radio Operator High Speed honor graduate. Later, Bill was the successful owner of Bill Ford Dodge and Bill Ford Motors in Indiana. He later worked for Mossy Oldsmobile in Houston, Mossy Nissan in San Diego, David McDavid Nissan in Houston, Sam White in Houston, Knapp Chevrolet, Bland Cadillac in Houston, Sand Dollar in Galveston, Pasadena Auto Auction and Bay Area Auto Wholesale. Bill enjoyed driving his race car in Fort Wayne, Indiana and also piloted his own J-3 Cub. He was a avid NASCAR fan and Ellington Air show enthusiast. Bill was preceded in death by his son William Gean Ford, Jr., sister Beverly Ford, and brothers Ken and Lee Ford. He is survived by his wife Josephine, children Pam Ford Fischer and Phillip Dean Ford, sister Phyllis Goodman, grandchildren William, Alexandra, and Colton , dear friend Mary Bernardy and Jeff Buchan, beloved pets Bart and Beethoven and many other loving friends and family. The Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 12:00pm with a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 2 o’clock at Crowder Funeral home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573.
