Van Henry Coles, Jr.

candle 2Van Henry Coles, Jr. of League City, Texas passed away May 1, 2015.  He was born in Nashville, Tennessee Oct. 30, 1927.  Van was united in marriage with Margaret Graham on May 5, 1951.  He will be missed by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Coles; two loving daughters, Vana Coles Lamont of League City and Dona Coles Jaschke of Houston/League City; his eight grandchildren Melvin and Lindsay Bekelja Lamont of League City, Jerry and Brittany Newell Lamont of League City, Eric Allen Jaschke of Houston and fiancé Hilary Grosser of Cincinnati, Ohio and Emily Ann Jaschke of Houston and fiancé Taylor Castleshouldt Wells of Conroe.  Van proudly served his country in the Navy and then worked 35 years for Broyhill Furniture Company. He loved playing golf.  We are so very blessed to have had such a strong and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Van was laid to rest with military honors in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Clear Lake United Methodist Church  16335 El Camino Real, Houston, TX 77062 for the benefit of “The Gathering”.
