Tomasa Ramos Nava

Tomasa NavaTomasa Ramos Nava, 88, of Dickinson, passed away June 13, 2015 in League City. She was born March 6, 1927 to Bernardo and Delfina Ramos in Needville, Texas. Tomasa worked in housekeeping for UTMB, Galveston and was a loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lucio P. Nava, and her sons John Nava and Benny Nava.

Tomasa is survived by her daughters Blanca Franklin and husband Michael, and Tina Nava;daughter-in-law, Vangie Nava; sisters, Frances Adame, Magdalena Villarreal and Margarita Cantu; brother, Jesus Ramos; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.

A visitation in her honor will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm, Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:30 am, Shrine of the True Cross, Dickinson, Texas with interment following at Hayes Grace Memorial Park, Hitchcock, Texas.

Honored to serve as pall bearers are Michael Barrera, Tom Barrera, David Nava, Skylar Nava, Rodney Scott, and Jaime Nava.

    Our sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mom. Tomasa was a beautiful lady and a joy to be around. She will be missed. . .but her family in heaven are all rejoicing, along with God, to finally have her home. Our prayers are with you my friend.

  2. Heartfelt prayers and love to my Tia Tomasa’s family, and my cousins. No words can describe the loss of a Mom. We hold on tight to the good times and memories left behind. As long as we remember, they will never be completely gone. In time our tears will be of joy. Just to have the pleasure of having known our Mom, yours for 88yrs and mine for 90 years is a true blessing from God. We will always remember Tia Tomas fondly. We had great times in Galveston.   3. My husband Pancho always spoke vey highly of Ms. Nava as does my sister in law Josie, who was at one time married to Ms. Nava’s son Johnny. Their children are my niece and nephews. I offer my condolences to the family and special condolences to Ramon Nava, Manuel Nava, Jae Nava, Jaime Nava, Yvonne Nava, Victoria Nava and Alexandria Nava. My heart is with you. She is in a better place and although it’s hard, rejoice that she is now in peace and with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I would also like to leave a special message for Audrey Nava, my classmate. I’m very sorry for the loss of your mom. I will be praying for the entire family.
