Thyra Elizabeth “Liz” Gibson 84 passed away January 4, 2024, in Houston, Texas. She was born August 29, 1939, in Bedias, Texas to parents, Claude W. Beacleay, Sr. and Gladys Jackson Beacleay. Liz was a resident of Pearland for over 40 years. She was a member of the Iola/North Zulch Chapter #458 Eastern Star. Liz loved to paint and make flower arrangements. She was a league bowler in Pearland and was of the Baptist faith.

Liz is preceded in death by her parents, son, Randy Upchurch, brothers, Claude Beacleay, Jr., W.A. Beacleay, and Johnny Beacleay.

She is survived by her daughter, Patti Carona, stepson and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Patti Gibson, sister, Sue Ellis and husband, Michael, grandchildren, Mallory Blumreich and husband, Robert, Morgan Gibson and Garrett Gibson.

A Celebration of Life will be 12:00 PM Saturday February 10, 2024 at the Oak Bridge Apartments Club House located at 1710 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas.
