Thomas Benjamin “Ben” Salvato
Thomas Benjamin “Ben” Salvato, 67, of New Orleans, formerly of Dickinson, passed away August 31, 2017, in New Orleans, LA. Ben was born January 14, 1950 to Sam B. and Bertha Salvato in Texas City. Ben was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister Elizabeth Josephine Babin.
Ben is survived by his sister Mary Anne Broussard and husband Edward; nephew Lucian DiMarco and wife Danielle; God-son and nephew Chase Bingham; and God-daughter and grandniece Samantha Bingham.
A funeral mass in Ben’s honor will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, September 15, 2017, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1224 Cedar Dr., La Marque, Texas, with interment following at Forest Park Lawndale, Houston, Texas under the direction of Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
I did not find out about Ben’s death until this weekend! I’m so sorry we lost touch! I have such great fond memories of us all growing up together! Sundays playing outside and enjoying family- jojo, Ben , Mary Anne , tony & me! I’m glad I got to see you a few times after you moved to New Orleans but wished it’d been more recent!
