Teresa Ann Pettiette Guedin was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

Known to her beloved as Terry Ann or Mom, born September 26, 1938. Raised in a family of believers, she led a life of quiet devotion. After her faith, family was her highest priority. One of seven, Terry Ann had an appreciation for large family gatherings, most spectacularly the reunions with hundreds of attendees. The Pettiette family is filled with gifted musicians. In addition to singing with a beautiful voice, Terry played piano and guitar as a way to connect to her large family. This large family circle provided not only many joys but also much strength and a lifetime of love which she valued enduringly. She cherished every chance to see her beautiful family.

Growing up in Palestine Tx., Terry Ann had an abiding love for horses. She would often whistle to call in the neighbors horses and ride them bareback through the pastures. Her love for animals was lifelong and not limited just to horses.  She cared for many cats through the years, they miss her dearly.

Terry had a great passion for reading, devouring whole racks at her local library. Her love of words, along with her astute editing and organizational skills helped her rise through the ranks during her 27 year career at GCWDA in administration.

She is survived by her daughter Tracey Kessel , son Adrian Guedin, grandchildren Ashley Chu, Hannah Webb, Jack Guedin, Madeleine Guedin and her great grandchildren Juniper and Archie Chu.

She was preceded by her parents AW and Teresa Pettiette, her sisters Bernice Harvey and Inez Cheatham, brothers Larry Pettiette and Adolfus “Junebug” Pettiette and her son Ernest Guedin.

A grave side service will be held at St Josephs Cemetery in Palestine Tx. Oct 17, 2026 9 am.
