Stuart Henry Werner, Jr. (95) passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 in League City, Texas. He was a longtime resident of La Marque, but had lived at The Crossings in League City for the last seven years. Stuart was born October 25, 1928, in Galveston, Texas to Stuart and Wanda Werner.

Stuart was a United States Navy veteran serving in the Korean War from 1950-1953 on the  Aircraft Carriers Yorktown and Boxer.  He worked as an Operator at Union Carbide for 35 years.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church of La Marque for 67 years; he loved hunting, fishing and BBQ. Stuart was an avid waterfowler and loved working in his garage on anything. He loved his wife of 69 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 69 years, Mary (Kay) Werner.  Stuart is survived by his son Stephen Werner and wife Carla. Grandchildren: Jackie and Jorge Carrasquillo, Jillian Werner, Yvonne Mazzi and numerous great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00am Friday, November 3, 2023 at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, 7301 Memorial Drive, Hitchcock, Texas with Rev. Michael Selzer officiating.  Services are under the direction of the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.
