Stewart Clark Overton
Stewart Clark Overton, 76, of Hitchcock, TX passed away with his wife by his side on September 2, 2015 at his home. Stewart was born May 13, 1939 to Clark and Mildred Buis Overton in Paris, Illinois. Stewart grew up in Dickinson, TX and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1957. He served his country in the Air Force and retired from Sterling Chemical, Texas City after 35 years. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janet Overton.
Stewart is survived by his loving wife, Dani Sue Jones Overton, of Hitchcock; daughter, Sharelle Petty of Fischer, TX; granddaughter, Sarah Petty Sumrall and husband Damien of Alvin; Great Granddaughter, Linda Sumrall of Alvin; brother, Keith Overton of Pasadena; sister, Jean Franklin and husband Tom of Deer Park; and numerous friends.
Per Stewart’s request Memorial Services will be private.

You were there for me, my daughter and many others. You were my best friend for a long time. We will miss you Daddy.
Stewart loved and cared for my little sister, and he loved and cared for my parents. He was also very good to my children, and he helped me once when I was stumbling out of a dark hole. These things made Stewart top notch with me. He was a good man and will be missed.
