Stephen Ray Post

Stephen Ray Post passed away Oct. 19, 2018 surrounded by friends and family after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by his father, Stearl Ray Post.

Steve leaves behind his mother Shirley Post, loving wife Tracy Post, daughter Taylor Post and his three sons Johnny Chapman, Eddie Chapman and Stephen Ray Post, Jr. Steve was also looking forward to his son Eddie Chapman and Kailey Horne giving him his first grandchild, due in April. Steve also leaves behind his sister Pam Sims, brother in law Bruce Sims and nephews Bryce and Brandon Sims.  Steve also had a very special relationship with his in laws who he spent a great deal of time with, Ed and Bertha Haws, sister in law Sherry Inman, brother in law Gary Inman, nephew Allen Little Jr., nieces Leslie Martinez and Lauren Little.

Steve also touched the lives of so many friends who will miss him a great deal.

Steve was born Nov. 8, 1965. He always went above and beyond to help others even after falling ill.  He was a hard worker and continued to work even with his terminal illness. More than anything, he loved his family and friends, teaching his children how to ride and work on dirt bikes and hot rods, going camping, deer hunting, fishing, boat riding. Steve was so proud of his children and the adults they are becoming and he was so proud of his daughter Taylor Post for following her dreams of becoming a Police Officer, he knew she would succeed in anything she put her mind to.  He was able to see his oldest son Johnny venture out on his own and be successful in the music industry, he was able to see his son Eddie Chapman graduate high school and was looking forward to seeing his youngest son Stephen Post Jr. graduate in May of 2019.  He believed his children could do anything they set their sights for and always encouraged them to follow their dreams. Passionate, Strong and Loving, Steve touched the lives of everyone he met and will be truly missed by all.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Crowder Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m Friday, November 2, 2018 in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale.

  1. My deepest sympathy to the Post family. My heart goes out to you. The death of a loved one is so hard to bear. When I went through the loss of my father, a scripture that brought me comfort is Isaiah 41:10. There God promises “I will fortify you, yes, I will help you. I will really hold on to you with my right hand.” May the God of all comfort be with you at this difficult time. ( 2 Cor. 1:3,4 )
