Stephen Davis Defoore

Stephen Davis Defoore, affectionately known as Steve, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 63. A resident of Texas City, Texas, Steve was born on April 17, 1963, to Linda and Eugene Defoore in Galveston, Texas.

Steve was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. For 39 years, he shared a life filled with love and memories with his beloved wife, Irina Anzaldua. Together they built a family that was the center of his world.

He is survived by his wife Irina Defoore; his son Matthew Defoore and Matthew’s significant other Crystal Morgan, his son Zachary Defoore and Zachary’s wife Hali Morgan; his brother Douglas Defoore and late wife Linda Defoore, Best friend of 50 years Larry Cox; his cherished grandchildren: Jayden, Kash, and Dakota. His family will forever treasure the love, guidance, laughter, and countless memories he gave them.

Steve dedicated 40 years of service to Bevis Pest Control, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to his customers and coworkers.

Outside of work, Steve embraced life’s simple pleasures. He loved attending rock concerts, cheering on the Houston Astros, Rockets and Texans, and spending sunny afternoons in his backyard grilling for family and friends. Whether sharing a meal, telling a story, or enjoying a ballgame, Steve had a way of making every gathering memorable.

Those who knew Steve will remember his sense of humor and the joy he brought to others. One of his favorite quotes, which never failed to bring a smile, was: “Big gulps, huh? Alright! Welp, see ya later.”

Steve’s legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched throughout his years. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation will be on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm with a Memorial Service at 3:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, TX.
