Shirley Ann Shawver

Shirley Ann Shawver, 89, a resident of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away on June 22, 2025. She was born on August 23, 1935 in Shelby County, Texas to parents, Duke Harrison and Zera M. (Ramsey) Harrison.

She was passionate about her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Shirley was a devoted Christian.

Shirley was retired from Standard Steel Supply in Texas City, where she worked as a secretary.

She loved to pass the time working on word search books, puzzles, and reading Harlequin romance novels.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest David Shawver and brother, Kenneth Harrison.

She leaves behind to treasure her memory, daughters, Connie Gregory (husband J.P.), Gayle Shawver and Suzanne Blue (husband David); sister, Peggy Hall (husband Ron); grandchildren, Julie Sample (husband Rusty), P.D. Reeks (husband DeWayne), Kris Shawver (wife Jessica), Thomas Curtner (wife Jeimy), Matthew Lutringer (wife Amy), James Lutringer (wife Brandy) and Alynece Rodriguez (husband Joseph) and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Easton, Ryder and Jordan Sample, Shawn and Laura David, Porter Reeks, Keiley, Emily and Grayson Shawver, Allison Curtner, Gunner, Myles and Layne Lutringer, Andalyn Rodriguez and Maddy Baldwin.

In her honor, there will be a graveside service on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 1:00pm at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1552 State Highway 7 East in Center, Texas. Following the graveside service will be a reception at TR’s Steakhouse, Center, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Lutringer, James Lutringer, Kris Shawver, Thomas Curtner, Rusty Sample, DeWayne Reeks. Honorary pallbearer is Joseph Rodriguez.

The family would like to thank the nurses at HCA Clearlake 6th floor overflow and the Harbor Hospice staff for their compassion and generosity during this time.
