With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Sheryl Anne (Lakovich) Palmer, age 78, on January 9, 2025. She was born on June 4, 1946, in Galveston, Texas, and was raised in La Marque and Texas City. Sheryl spent the last 8 years of her life in Pearland, Texas, where she continued to create cherished memories with her family.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Leo Joseph Lakovich; her mother, Mary Glenn Lakovich; and her brother, Gregory Wayne Lakovich.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Lucchese (Joseph), her son, Scott Palmer (Linda), her sister, Glenda Waggoner (Robert), and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Sheryl was deeply loved by her family and friends, and her memory will be forever cherished.

Sheryl was a devoted mother who took great pride in her children. She found joy in spending time outside, particularly in her garden, where she nurtured both plants and relationships. Above all, Sheryl treasured the moments spent with family, especially during trips that brought laughter and love to all involved.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice in her memory.

May she rest in peace, knowing the love she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
