Sarah Luna

Sarah Luna (91) of Texas City, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021. She was born in Pottsville, PA, on December 24, 1929, to Anastacio and Celia Saldana. Sarah had been a resident of Texas City for 72 years. She enjoyed crochet, sewing and crossword puzzles. After raising her children and a few grandchildren she went to work at College of the Mainland and at local Election Polls. Sarah was a strong woman with a giving heart she loved her husband and family dearly. She was a member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, Texas City.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul J Luna, children Raul Luna, Lois Avila and Ronald Luna; a great great granddaughter Madalyn Gracia Squier; 1 Brother and 4 Sisters.
Sarah is survived by her grandchildren: Kimberly Luna Gracia, Patricia Aguilar, Amber Luna Hawkins, Ashley Luna and Paul Luna (PJ). Great grandchildren: Megan Gracia, Trey Gracia, Christopher Aguilar, Brandon Aguilar, Austin Aguilar, Taylor Friloux and Ava Friloux. Great great grandchildren: Harper, Hadley and Hensley Gracia and Stetson Gracia. Sisters Delores Estrada and Margie Salinas along with numerous family and friends.
A Christian Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church,  1604 9th Ave North, Texas City, Texas  77590, with Father Clint Ressler officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. Pallbearers will be PJ Luna, Trey Gracia, Brandon Aguilar and David Nieto. Arrangements are under the direction of James Crowder Funeral Home – La Marque.
Special Thank you to Honda Garza for helping us get grandma to her Doctor visits. She enjoyed her outings with you.
Grandma, Thank you for being the mother you didn’t have to be and for always loving me. I am going to miss you greatly- Kim.

I was very happy to hear from you three weeks ago or you called me and we talked on the phone like nothing ever happened I’m so glad that we patched things up and we hung up I was very very happy to hear from you and I know you felt the same way too . Rest In Peace now I will continue to pray for you, give my Rudy A big kiss from me .
