  5. Scott, we have met, although it’s been many years ago when you were at Valero, I’m sure you don’t remember me. We lost our middle daughter at age 18, killed in a drive-by incident October 2, 1993. It was a midnight call advising us that our daughter had been shot. We have two (2) other daughters, one older and one younger. Your loss was from a tragic accident and we all know how tough it is on you and your family. Please consider family consoling as it will help during your grieving process and trying to understand why this happened. We were told that God needed another angel and that was our daughter.
You and your family are in our prayers.

  15. I didn’t get the privelege to get to meet Sarah, I wish that I did.
But my family n I met Joan and Scott just a few days ago.
Scott loaned our 11yr old son a fishing pole and Joan joyfully gave him a hot dog along with instructions on the how to’s….this was our sons FIRST TIME crawfishing, and we were all in the midst of a beautiful n magical place by the river!!! 🙂 our son is still convinced b/c he managed to catch his very first one!
During the rest of our week vacation, even after only meeting them just that one night, our thoughts n prayers have stayed focused on Scott n Joan and their son (who we did not get to meet).
Not sure if they will ever read this, but I’d love for them to know that they impacted us in a major way, w/their kindness n friendship to complete strangers, even in the midst of such grief and tragedy, this was beyond any words I have. Or will ever have.
May God be with you both, and rain down blessings and peace abundantly.
