Sally Eleanor Distefano

Sally Eleanor DiStefano reunited with her Valentine Frank on February 14th at 2:30am. She was 80 years old.

She also joins her mother Eleanor and father Rudolph – all rejoicing in Heaven together and in perfect peace.

Even with her educational and professional achievements, Sally always considered her greatest “accomplishment” to be accepting Jesus as her lord and savior at 41 yrs. She also led her family to the Lord and dedicated her life to serving Jesus.

Sally and her family were active at Nassau Bay Baptist Church for many years following their conversion and the church has always held a special place in Sally’s heart.

Sally loved her husband Frank and her sons Frank and Nick, taking pride in being the “glue” that kept the family strong, healthy, and moving forward.

She often quoted her late husband’s proposal- “come fly with me”- their adventures continued over the years, moving to Texas in 1978. And now, their adventures will go into eternity.

Sally will someday be joined by her sister Meredith, brother JB (and family), her son Frank, and her son Nick and his wife Janna.

  1. Thanks for sending this! Sally and I were roommates for 2 years of college at Univ. of Delaware and friends for life. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and we worked on summer in Ocean City NJ as “ governess” for 2 different families. We had both visited each others homes and I knew her parents also. So glad we got to visit her just before Frank passed when we came to Houston. I was so glad when she accepted Christ! Christs peace to all of your family. Do you remember the weekend at our farm in DE. You worked in my vegetable garden while your parents we looking for a house.

    • I do remember this! Well, some of it. I must have been very young, but I remember a drive through some country and I think steps up to the house?

  4. Sally, was a forward moving force, with the strength of love.
I meet Sally in a business setting, as our time together lengthened, she
very sweetly asked about my relationship with the LORD.
To sweeten my walk with the LORD she gave me a Daily Walk Bible.
She was so generous and caring to a stranger.

  5. Nick & Frankie … I happened to think of your mom today and looked for her name online. I wasn’t aware that she stepped into the arms of Jesus on Feb 14. My heart hurts for y’all as I know she deeply adored you both. She impacted my life greatly and will always be remembered.
God bless you in His perfect peace.
