Rogers LaVergne


Rogers LaVergne, 77, passed away August 27, 2018. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a thirty-year member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in LaMarque, Texas. He was a laborer and worked over forty years with the J.T. Thorpe Company in the Construction Industry.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle LaVergne and husband Jeffrey, Cynthia Rittenhouse and husband Don, Danielle LaVergne and Ernest, one son, Kevin LaVergne; two sisters, Elonia Johnson and Corinne Dixon; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Demouy, Keyana LaVergne, Jasmine Ferguson, and Jairus Gamble. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Loretta LaVergne.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on September 1, 2018 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in LaMarque, Texas with a Rosary beginning 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.

I know it is hard to say Goodbye, but just know that Mr. LaVergne has earned his position up in heaven with our lord Jesus Christ.
