Robert Wayne Gilmore

Robert Wayne Gilmore, (known as Wayne by most of those who knew him) entered his celestial home on March 13, 2018, at the VA Hospital. He was born September 2, 1952, in Houston Tx, to Robert Eugene and Dolores H Gilmore.

To name a few of Wayne’s life accomplishments or perhaps his bucket list, he met the love of his life Penny Lea in 2001 and became a step “Dad “overnight. He was a master electrician, celebrated 20 years of sobriety since 2/11/98 and was a part of the Alternative motorcycle group (A.A.). He had a green thumb for all sorts of plants but especially his bucket tomato plants (which his mother loved to eat from the vine). He was a great part of a cooking team and would tell you the secret to perfect smoke rings on Brisket If you asked him.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Eugene and his mother Delores H Gilmore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Penny Lea, his stepson Jeremy Bosley and wife Beth, his Brother Calvin Rhea, Brother-in-law Albert Pacheco and wife Anne, Sister-in-law Cheryl Lloyd-Mayhue and husband Bruce, and his doting companions “Harlea and Little buddy Millie.” A dear friend Nancy Welcome who affectionately referred to him as “Daddy Wayne” and good friend Anita Reed. A loving great Aunt Tommy Musgrove, Aunt Doris Reed, and favorite Uncle John Reed with numerous cousins and a host of dear friends. He will be deeply missed.       R.I.P.       WAYNE
