Robert Ray Walcik, 62, passed away in Houston, TX on April 5, 2015. Mr. Walcik was born in Galveston, TX, June 25, 1952. The past 4 yrs. he lived in Pearland, TX and previously lived in Alvin, TX.  Mr. Walcik graduated from Texas A&M in 1976. He was a member of the Texas A&M of Alumni Association, Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. Advisory Board, as well as the Brazoport, Angleton, Pearland, Corpus Christi, Galveston and Victoria Chambers of Commerce. He was also an active member and leader of ACTS in Alvin and attended St. Helen Catholic Church.  He was president and co-owner of Jaco Roofing and Construction Inc. for over 40 yrs.

Mr. Walcik is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Annie Walcik and sister, Viola Lander. He is survived by his wife, Diana Walcik; daughters; Kelley Harwerth (Kevin), Allison Alexander (Bryan), Lauren Moody, Andrea Soliz (Trey); sons: Patrick Moody (Nicole) and Richard Avilez (Larissa); brothers: Bill Walcik (Shirley), Randy Walcik (P J) and James Walcik (Brenda); grandchildren: Cooper Harwerth, Hayden and Ethan Alexander, Nadia and Trey Soliz, Ashlyn, Andrew and Giovanni Avilez. Bob loved being surrounded by his family and friends. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and a proud Aggie.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 5-8 pm with a rosary at 6pm, at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland. Memorial service will begin at 10 am on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at St. Helen Catholic Church.

    I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God wrap you in his arms and comfort you and give you strength for the days to come. I am here if you need anything or just want a hug and to have someone to sit and talk.
