Robert “Bob” Thomas English

Robert “Bob” Thomas English was raised up on eagles’ wings to the Lord and to be with his father Howard Thomas English on May 23, 2020 at the age of 56, surrounded by family and loving friends. Bob was born on March 9, 1964 in Camden, New Jersey. He attended Cypress Creek High School in Houston, Texas before receiving a degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. Bob had a brief career in the retail business at the Houston Galleria before taking his endeavors to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he resided for over 15 years and was a controller of multiple Mattress Firm franchises throughout New Mexico and Texas. Bob thoroughly enjoyed the non-humid climate of Albuquerque where he could enjoy long walks and taking in the beautiful setting sun on the Sandia Mountain range.  Bob enjoyed traveling and visited places such as China, Costa Rica, Morocco, Australia, Spain, and Ireland. He returned to Texas in the Summer of 2018 in order to be surrounded by loving family and friends. His spirit will continue on through his mother Miriam English of Ruidoso, New Mexico, sister Denise Selby of Spring Texas, brothers Tim English of Austin, Texas and David English of League City, Texas, sisters-in-law Liz and Katherine English, brother-in-law David Selby, nieces Bridgette Selby-Herrera, Olivia Selby, Halle English, Sarah English, and Alex English, and nephew David-John Selby, as well as numerous loving and supporting friends. His memorial service will be held at 3:00PM at Crowder Funeral Home in League City on May 31st , fittingly the same day of his dad’s memorial service.

May you rest in eternal peace my son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and great friend. Love you Bobby!
