  3. I will miss my best friend from high school. We graduated in 1976. Even though we were not able to see each other often due to the long distance, we stayed connected with phone calls and social media. Rita and I both had a daughter 2 months apart. She and I both became nurses as we had a love to help people. I am sad I will not be able to see her on this earth anymore but I know I will see her in heaven one day. God bless her husband, children and all her family and friends. I pray for your comfort and peace.

  9. I don’t even know where to start to write about Aunt Rita because how amazing amazing, loving and funny she was. I started sailing with Uncle Sonny in 2015 or 2016 and Aunt Rita was always our #1 supporter during the race whether we placed or didn’t place I know she would be proud of us. I will forever cherish my moments with Aunt Rita, she would always make sure I was having fun when I would stay with her, Whether she cracked jokes or she would make sure everyone included me in the conversation because she knew I was a shy person. I will forever be thankful for knowing this family. ♥️ love you guys and I am praying for the family and friends affected by this.

  11. My dearest Rita, I am absolutely devastated and cannot believe you’re gone. I remember the first time we met, it was a party in Ft. Lauderdale and from that moment on we became true friends. Oh the memories we shared! You in nursing school and me the beach bum that allowed you to practice IV and taking blood from my arm! You were the first to learn I was pregnant with my first child, Kristen. You were there every step of the way my dear friend. Oh, the excitement when you first met Sonny, you said you were going to marry that guy! Forty one years of friendship I will never forget. Fly High my friend and please tell my son and grandson in Heaven, I love and miss them too.

  13. I had the pleasure of meeting Rita at M.D. Anderson doing her care. She was a very sweet and caring person. When caring for her I just love to go to her room, just to her what she was going to tell me. She was a very outspoken person in her own sweet way. She will be missed.

  14. My sweet friend you will be missed so very much, but I take comfort in knowing that we will see each other again in God’s timing. I promise to take a lesson from you in strength and love because those two things were qualities among many that I so admired from you. You never met a stranger and I am so thankful that this stranger had the honor of becoming a friend. Fly high my sweet friend.
