Raul Alvarado
Raul Alvarado, of Dickinson, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in Houston, Texas at the age of 71.
He was born on June 21, 1955 in Michoacán, Mexico to Inez and Norberta Alvarado.
Raul was a devoted husband, father and family man. He married Leticia, the one and only love of his life and this past May they celebrated 48 years of marriage. A lifelong learner, Raul loved exploring the mysteries of the universe through reading and research. He was a loyal fan of Houston’s sports teams – the Astros, Texans and Rockets – and enjoyed computers, reading, and running and walking alongside his wife.
Raul was the person the family respected and trusted because of his steadfast love for everyone. His smile was radiant with warmth and without judgement. He never failed providing for his family by demonstrating his outstanding work ethic.
Raul is preceded by his parents Inez and Norberta Alvarado, his parents in law, Jose and Guadalupe Ramirez.
Raul is survived by his loving wife Leticia, his gift of life, Leslie Alvarado, daughter, and his bonus son, Christian Sartori. Along with his older brothers Manuel Alvarado, Medardo Alvarado, sister, Evagenlina Huerta, and youngest brother, Jose Luis Alvarado. His four sisters in law, Lupe Ramirez, Elva Cruey, Rosie Ramirez, Yolanda Ramirez and his two brothers in law, John Ramirez and Joe Ramirez and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
“In Raul’s honor, the family encourages guests to wear Houston sports gear – Astros, Texans or Rockets jerseys or T-shirts instead of formal attire (though not required).”
The Family will receive friends on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 6-7:00pm with Rosary at 6:30pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573. A Ceremony will be held on Tuesday at 9:00am at Crowder Funeral Home in League City.
Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.

My heart is broken for Leticia, Leslie and the rest of the family. I know how much Raul loved and cared about each of them. He was a big part of everyone’s life. I was lucky enough to go with them to Puerto Vallarta and experience the family connection in action. Such a beautiful, strong, amazing family. Sending everyone love and prayers during this difficult time.
I am saddened with this news. Raul was an awesome man. I always saw a smile on his face and a happy person.
My condolences to Leticia and the family. I know he will be missed, but he’s with God, our Father now.

Please accept my deepest condolences. I was deeply saddened to hear Raul’s passing.
Raul was always kind to me, and I have many fond memories of the time we spent working together at RGMC years ago. I will always remember his sense of humor, his kindness, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger, and I never heard him speak poorly of anyone. No matter the situation, he always seemed to be in an upbeat mood, with a warm smile on his face.
Raul was a very intelligent man, especially when it came to computers. Whenever I needed help, he was my go-to person. His stories and jokes were always entertaining and could brighten anyone’s day. One memory that always makes me smile is when he told me about his high school days. He said that while his friends were out playing basketball, he would often be sitting on the sidelines doing everyone’s homework instead. The way he told the story, along with his facial expressions, had me laughing so hard.
Although it has been years since we last spoke, I was very saddened to hear about his illness. Please take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and that his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. I truly believe he will continue to watch over you and Leslie.

As a Mexican relative of all the family, I knew Raul about 40 years ago. Since ever Raul was a positive person with not bad thoughts about anything or someone. We share our hobbies about computers, UFO’s, Celestial phenomena, Alien civilizations. I was so glad sharing with him info about all that, He was always happy and I never saw him mad. He is my primo or cousin, I will miss a lot the comm with him.
I wish Leti an Leslie will understand God’s designs. He never told me in this last year or in this one about the severity of his illness. We always share a final thought that says, “everyday in every way, I am better and better and better”. He liked all the bicultural television, he was fan of “chavo del ocho”. I will miss you primo Raul. Thanks for all the legacy of wisdom you left us.

You didn’t have to meet uncle Raul often to know he was a kind, honest, and very generous man. It was obvious he lived of life full of love and was surrounded by the most loving, incredible humans. His immediate family speaks volumes of his character. Leslie is a very intelligent, kind & courageous person and Lety is wonderful, hilarious, and vibrant. It’s obvious that these characteristics were inspired, supported and probably even adopted by Raul.
I knew uncle Raul through his niece Sophia, who spoke incredibly highly of her uncle and always reminded us that him and her aunt lety’s love was definitely one of a kind and truly inspiring for all of us. It was truly incredible to see him show up for all his family events; nieces, and nephews birthday parties, graduations, and truly embodied the importance of family.
I can confidently say that I am very blessed and honored to have met him a couple of times and feel very sad for those who never got a chance to experience uncle Raul’s magic.
