Patricia Rita Sanders

Patricia Rita Sanders, 87, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in Webster, Texas.  She was born February 17, 1930 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Earl and Elsie Miller.   She was a lifelong resident of La Marque and lived in Hemphill.  Patricia was a graduate of Dominican Academy in Galveston, a member of Pine Ridge Community Church in Hemphill, Texas and she worked for Monsanto for over 30 years.  She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Ray Sanders, her parents, two grandchildren: Brooke Nicole Sanders and Jon Michael Fox, and son-in-law Larry Delgado. Patricia is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Shelley Tholcken and husband Ronny, Kay Calhoun and husband Steve, Dee Logan and husband Steve, and Karen Hupe and husband Gary; four sons and daughters –in-law; Michael Fox and wife Cheryl, Tim Fox and wife Deb, Carl Sanders and wife Hilda and Craig Sanders and wife Stacy; her twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. A visitation will be from 10:00am – 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.  Graveside Service will be at 1:00pm at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas with Dr. R.L. Calhoun officiating. Pallbearers will be Adam Lampe, Jonathan Coutorie, Jason Delgado, Brian Sammons, Nick DeLaO and Donald Linder.  Honorary pallbearer will be Caleb Sammons.

The family wants to extend their appreciation to the owner and staff of Serenity Gardens and RN’s Russell and Meg at Bay Area Regional Hospital.

  1. To all the Fox children, especially Shelley and Kay…..I am very sad to hear of your mother’s death. I have very fond memories of her when we were teenage girls. I remember her from our old band and twirling days at LMHS. Also, my mom, Norman Dunten, always admired your mother for her grace and beauty. I am sorry that I cannot be at her funeral, but my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
