Pansy Marie Dudley Parr

Pansy Marie Dudley Parr Photo   Pansy Marie Dudley Parr passed away peacefully on April 22, 2015 at the age of 101. Born on January 4, 1914 in Rector, Arkansas, Pansy moved to texas in 1936 with her husband, Royal Francis Dudley, and infant son, Royal F. Dudley Jr. Daughter, Lina Laura, was born in 1939. The family lost Royal Dudley, Sr. as a result of the Texas City blast in 1947. Pansy later married Royal E. Parr, a lifetime resident of League City. She worked for 30 years at Kilgore’s Hardware and Lumber, where many knew her as “Granny”, even long before she became one. As matriarch of the family, she instilled in each generation the immense value and importance of family. She taught us that the opportunity to learn something new exists every day of ones life. Her wisdom, humor, unwavering love and support will be greatly missed.
Pansy was preceded in death by husband Royal Parr, son Royal Dudley, granddaughter, Lina Lynn Dubley and great-grandson, Allen Harlton Sheffield. She is survived by daughter Lina Sheffield, and husband Harlton, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5:30pm til 8:30pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573. In lieu of flowers, you may send memorials to LaVita Bella, 3527 Oak Drive, Dickinson, Texas 77539

  1. I always assumed you were already gone….I often think of you while weeding my flower beds, and watching butterflies..you were a big influence on my “good side.” I love you Mrs. Parr…and you loved me..
