Norma Wash

Norma Jean Jones Wash was born on January 16, 1935 in New Boston, Texas.  She died on December 01, 2015 due to complications from brain cancer.  Norma graduated high school in New Boston, Texas.  She married the love of her life, Bobbie E. Wash on October 04, 1952.   Norma and Bobbie were married for 63 years.   Norma worked for Pasadena Independent School District for 10 years.  Following that, she went to work for American General Insurance Company in the Life Department where she retired at age 55.

She is preceded in death by her father, Norman A. Jones, mother Lois J. Jones, brother Billy Don Jones and sister Judy Carol Jones Moore.  She leaves behind husband Bobbie E. Wash of Friendswood, Texas; son Robert A Wash and his wife Beverly of League City; daughter Donna K. McDonald of Webster and daughter Debbie W. Eudy and husband Tom of Friendswood, Texas.  Norma Jean is also survived by grandchildren David Wash, Paul Wash, Gabby Relente, Mark Krog and wife April, Ginger Krog, Sean Barmore and wife Karli and Derek Barmore.  Norma was also so proud of her seven great-grandchildren David Allen Wash, Jr., Cadence Layne Barmore, Landon Scott Barmore, Collin Malone and Conner Matthew Krog, Joshua David Barmore and Erik Orson Eudy.  She is also survived by her sisters Janiece Richardson and Lynda Braley of New Boston, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma and Bob moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1963 where they attended   South Main Baptist Church for decades. They retired to Trinity, Texas in 1991 where they attended Dorcas Wills Baptist Church.    They relocated from Trinity to Friendswood, Texas in 2013 where they were members of Nassau Bay Baptist Church and Norma was a member of the Pathways Sunday School Class.

The family wishes to thank the caring doctors at UTMB Medical Center in Galveston and Kindred Hospital in Clear Lake.   In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Nassau Bay Baptist Church or the National Brain Tumor Society.

Visitation 5-7 pm Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster. Visitation 6-8 pm Friday, December 4, at Bates Rolf Funeral Home in New Boston, Texas. Grave side service 10 am Saturday, December 5 at Ringwood Cemetery, New Boston, Texas.

  1. Norma had a sweet sweet soul. She was loved by our Pathways Sunday school class.
    She leaves a Christian legacy for all who knew her. Love and prayers.
