Nora Glinda Diaz
On December 18th, 2023, Nora Glinda Diaz passed away at her home in League City, Texas at the age of 61.
Nora, the eldest of five children, was born on April 23rd, 1962 in Elsa, Texas. She was a 20-year cancer survivor and a passionate lover of nature. Nora loved collecting sea glass, sea shells, and sand dollars. She spoke avidly about the beautiful waterfalls she had seen in Oregon. She loved wildflowers and watching the birds in her backyard. Nora spent her free time reading many books and watching the Astros.
Nora is preceded in death by her spouse Eric Henkel ( April 11th, 1993 ). She is survived by her mother, Santos Diaz, and four younger brothers; Juan ( Martha ) Diaz, Noe ( Christina ) Diaz, Ricky ( Melanie ) Diaz, and Robert ( Esmeralda ) Diaz; and nieces and nephews, Ryan, Tia, Tyler, Avry, Shyla, Kiren, Damon, Jisele, Jon, Nicolas, and Gunner.
The Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am – 2:00pm with a Ceremony at 1:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573 with Deacon Andy DeYoung presiding.

My name is William Payne. I met Nora my first year of High School in 1976. After High School we maintained contact during various stages of our lives. We have lost a most kind and gentle soul. I learned of Nora’s passing just yesterday over Facebook. I am profoundly aggrieved for your loss.
