Michael Ray Vann

Michael Ray Vann, 73, a resident of San Leon, Texas, passed from this life on January 5, 2024. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on March 1, 1950 to parents, Harry Lee Vann and Alberta Jane (Mitchell) Vann.

Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic in the Vietnam War.

He made a career as an electrician and owned Clear Lake Electric.

Michael was passionate about powered paragliding and flew with a group called The Texas Wingnuts. He loved animals, sailing, offshore fishing, assembling and flying model airplanes, and donating to various charities.

He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Patrick Duane Vann. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Vickie Rae Vann.

In his honor, there will be a funeral service on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. Interment will follow at San Leon Cemetery.

    nicer, more generous guy . He would literally give you the shirt off
    his back. What a sweetie. Rest in peace, you will be missed. So sorry

  3. I am so very saddened to hear of Mike’s passing & truly wish l had known as l would have gladly attended his homegoing service to honor him. He has been a friend to our family for many years!! My heart & prayers go out to those who loved him!!
