Mary Lanier Maples
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Lanier Maples, beloved wife, Mimi, sister, aunt, devoted friend, and respected real estate professional. Mary’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and her passion for helping others.
Mary was most proud of two things: her family and her successful career in real estate. Throughout her life, she demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to both. She often sacrificed her own time and resources to ensure her family had everything they needed, embodying the true spirit of love and dedication. When she married Matt, she whole heartedly embraced the role of mother and MiMi, finding tremendous joy in nurturing a multitude of kids and grandkids. As the matriarch of her family, she cherished every moment spent with them.
In her professional life, Mary made a significant impact on her community through her career in real estate. Alongside her team of colleagues, who were also lifelong friends, she devoted herself to helping individuals and families find their dream homes. Mary understood the importance of a home in nurturing relationships and creating lasting memories. She took pride in guiding clients through one of the most significant decisions of their lives, always eager to share her professional wisdom with friends and family alike.
Mary’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, both personally and professionally. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the indelible mark she left on everyone she met.
Mary is Preceded in Death by her father AB Lanier and Mother Doris Lanier.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband Matt Maples, Sister Emma Lanier(Tommy), Brother Douglas (Doug) Lanier, Niece Casey Cook (Shane), her children Jennifer (Kristin) Nikki (Tiffany) Matthew (Taylor), Joshua (Kailynn), Erica (Evan), Zachary (Jessica), Grandchildren Jacob, Marissa, Ciera, Camryn, Cheyenne, Wyatt, Keaton, Jaycee and Frankie, and numerous Family and Friends who will continue to honor her memory by embodying the values she instilled in them.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Arcadia First Baptist Church, 14828 Highway 6, Santa Fe, TX 77517. Funeral Service will be the following morning at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Arcadia First Baptist Church with Kevin Garber officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, TX.
Pallbearers serving will be Joshua Maples, Zachary Burnaman, Keaton Maples, James Ledbetter, Doug Lanier, Jason Bullard, Michael Lanier, and Dennis Palmer. Honorary pallbearers serving will be Mark Maples, Jodie Braddock, Damon Marks, Matthew Maples, and Scott Thompson.
