Mary Evelyn Allen
Mary Evelyn Allen, 86, passed away March 24, 2019.
She was born October 9, 1932 in Toronto, OH and grew up on her family farm. Upon completing high school she moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue secretarial work. While there she met her husband Stanley Allen. They began their married life together in Alaska on Elmendorf Air Force Base where they had their first son, Rodney. Soon to be followed by sons Jim and Mark.The air force family settled in Bossier City, LA where she lived until moving to her final city of Pearland, TX.
She was known as Evelyn to her friends, Mimi to her grandchildren who she doted on. Evelyn had a generous heart and always put others before herself. She loved giving gifts to those she loved and had a tender spot for furry friends.
Mary Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Stanley, parents David and Grace Dye, and brothers John and James Dye.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her brother: Willard Dye, her sons: Rodney Allen, wife Susan. Jim Allen, wife Ginger, and Mark Allen, wife Susan. Her grandchildren: Trevis Allen, Roxanne Wood, husband Kevin, Aric Allen, wife Kristi, Anna Hall, husband Tobin,Grace McCree, husband Tony, Patrick Allen, wife Katherine, Hunter Allen, Natalee Allen and 7 great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11am with Pastor Alan Allen officiating in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home. 2422 Broadway ST. Pearland, TX 77581
