Mary Anne Holly
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary Anne Holly, 85, on June 21, 2026 in Clear Lake, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born in Welsh, Louisiana to proud parents, Ernest Fruge, Sr. and Rhea Brasseaux Fruge on March 31, 1941. Mary was the youngest of four children and the only girl.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a resident of Santa Fe, Texas for 21 years and formerly of Victoria, Texas. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. In her early years she worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and later at J.C. Penney’s as a merchandising assistant where she retired after 20 years. Her greatest joy was in the roll of wife, mother and grandmother.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Jerome Holly and her oldest brother, Grady Fruge.
She leaves behind to cherish a lifetime of memories, her daughter, Marlene Hinson and husband William; son Hilton Holly and wife Stephanie of Santa Fe, Texas; brothers, Ernest Fruge and John Fruge; grandchildren, Isaiah Hill, Jayce Hill, and Jeanna Holly; as well as extended family, and friends.
In her honor a visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10:00am in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Her final resting place will be in Halletsville, Texas.
