Matties, Margaret001Margaret Mary Matties, 81, resident of Friendswood, Texas passed away November 10, 2015 surrounded by her family. Margaret was born August 10, 1934 to Kyran Francis and Rose Kane in Muskegon, Michigan. She was a resident of Friendswood for forty years. Margaret was a loyal member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and a member of the Society of St. Pius X 3rd Order. She was preceded in death by her parents: and sisters Rosemary Kane and Maryanne Hansen.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Albert William Matties; sons, David Albert Matties and wife Maria, Denis Lee Matties and wife Joan, and Daniel James Matties; sister, Eckterine Hanslits and husband Joseph; brothers, Kyran Phillip Kane and wife Linda, and Edward Kane and wife Darlene; Seventeen grandchildren; and Eighteen great grandchildren.
A rosary in her honor will be held Friday, November 13, 2015, 6:00 pm with visitation following to 8:00 pm at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4100 TX-3, Dickinson, Texas. Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, November 14, 2015, Queen of Angels Catholic Church, with interment following at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson, TX.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are David William Matties, Christopher Albert Matties, Michael Anthony Matties, Ronald Thomas Decker, Ron Gardner, and Charlie McLawchlin, honorary pall bearer, Peter Pellerin.
