Lydia A. Ramirez

Raminez webLydia A. Ramirez (64), of Texas City, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015. She was born in Texas City, Texas on October 18, 1951 to Juanita and Alfonso Alaniz. Lydia was a lifetime resident of Texas City and a member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City. She loved her family, plants, garage sales and cooking. Lydia will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, two sisters; Lupe Alaniz and Mary Betsy Alaniz, three brother; Alfonso Alaniz, Jr., Emilio Alaniz and Jimmy Alaniz, and granddaughter: Mariah Lynn Fuentes. Lydia is survived by her husband; Randell Ramirez Sr., daughter; Crystal Pearl Ramirez, son; Randell Lynn Ramirez, Jr., five sisters; Jean Strawn, Janie Flores, Irene Thomas, Mary Larson, and Delores Alaniz, brother; Manuel Alaniz, and two grandchildren; Robert Trey Anthony Fuentes and Angelica Marie Fuentes.

Visitation will be held at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with a vigil starting at 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 1:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home with Deacon Joe Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Robert Trey Fuentes, Zach Deroore, Colton Moore, Matthew Gerhardt, Austin Flores and Eugene Flores Jr. Honorary Pallbearer will be John Gerhardt.
