Lucy Daro Niccolai
Lucy Daro Niccolai, 92, of League City, Texas, passed away on December 24, 2014 in Alvin, Texas. She was born January 1, 1922 to Guiseppe and Maria Daro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August P. Niccolai.
Survivors include her five daughters, Marie (Mike Jones) Niccolai; Nancy (Daryl) Reifel; Frances (Larry) Caldwell; Susan Bova and Judy (Kurt) Galey; a sister, Margaret Gatti, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass to be officiated by Rev. Roy Oggero will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in League City, Texas on Tuesday, December 30th at 10:00 a.m. followed by internment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.

We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to meet “Grandma Lucy”. Such a sweet and genuine woman. We will miss seeing her in church. My deepest sympathies to the Niccolai family. It is difficult for the family, but I believe Lucy finally got her Christmas wish and is now happy to have all of her pains and physical restrains removed.
I was sorry to hear of Lucy’s passing from her sister Margaret. I loved knowing her through Margaret. She was a fine woman! Christmas is not a bad time to be reunited with the Lord.
